Side Effects

Urticaria, rashes, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, jaundice and liver abnormalities, eosinophilia.

Indications

Respiratory tract, (staphylococci, Pneumococci)Skin and soft tissue and dental nasopharyngeal infections.

Contra Indications

Hypersensitivity to clindamycin or lincomycin.
Newborns and infants.
Antagonism between clindamycin and erythromycin.
Contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Contraindicated in infants.

Caution

Use in atopic individuals in hepatic in renal impairment.
Periodic liver function tests and blood counts.
