Side Effects

Headache, nightmares, eye and clearly indicated.
Bradycardia, hypotension, arterial insufficiency, chest pain, CHF, dizziness, fatigue, depression, confusion, headache, insomnia, short term memory loss, nightmares, pruritus, rash, increased psoriasis, reversible alopecia, sexual dysfunction/impotence, peyronies disease.
Blurred vision, dry eyes, oculomucocutaneous syndrome, bronchospasm.

Indications

Hypertension, angina pectoris, acute myocardial infarction.
Adjunct in the treatment of hyperthyroidism.

Contra Indications

Bradycardia, cardiogenic shock, 2nd & 3rd degree A.
V.
block, cardiac failure, verapamil therapy, Br Asthma/COPD.
Phaeochromocytoma.
Metabolic acidosis.
Pregnancy (2nd and 3rd trimesters).

Caution

General anaesthesia, pregnancy, reduced cardiac reserve, C.
C.
F.
Compensated heart failure, bronchospastic disease, hepatic impairmemt.
AV condition disorders, signs of acute hypoglycaemia.
May mask symptoms of hyperthyroidism.
Myasthenia gravis, psychiatric disorder, Lactation.
