Side Effects
Nausea, headache, skin rash, abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhoea.Elevated liver function values, rash, exfoliative.
Rarely angioedema, anaphylactic reactions and thrombocytopenia.
Hepatotoxicity, rarely anaphylaxis.
Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
Indications
Superficial mucosal candidiasis.Candidal balanitis, vaginal candidiasis.
Dermatophytosis, pityriasis, versicolor and candida infections.
Cryptococcal infections including meningitis, systemic candidasis.
Prevention of relapse following a primary course of antifungal treatment for acute cryptococcal infections in patients with aids.
Prophylaxis of fungal infections in immunocompromised patients.
Contra Indications
Hypersensitivity.Caution
Renal or hepatic impairment.May prolong QT interval.
Pregnancy and lactation.
